1. Where should we take our family photos?
I’d love to recommend my favorite locations for our session! If you only want the beach for your session, we have plenty of options! Depending on where you live or are vacationing, I can suggest the best spots on the beach. 

If you want the beach but also beautiful, green Southern scenery, we can plan our session for Huntington Beach or Myrtle Beach State Park. You get the best of both worlds! LOVE our live oaks with Spanish moss for your portraits? We can focus on a perfectly Southern backdrop with all the romantic greenery you’ve seen in the movies. 

2. What is the best time of day to schedule a session on the beach?
For that gorgeous golden hour sunlight, we’ll want to schedule about an hour before sunset. That means everyone needs to be dressed, ready, and on time at the location we agreed upon. I want you to be able to maximize your session time!

3. How many people can be included in a family portrait session?
The typical family session includes up to 5 people (including adults and children). Additional family members can be added, please inquire for a quote.  

4. What should we wear?
I’m happy to help you decide on the best outfits for your family! I typically recommend color-coordinating (not matching!) outfits and advise against jeans and white t-shirts, black t-shirts, and outfits that are drastically different in style. Once the contract and retainer are paid, I send a style guide -Details below!

5. How will we receive our photos?
You’ll receive a link to a gorgeous online gallery that’s easy to navigate with high-res images you can download or print directly from the gallery. You can use a printer of your choice or my recommended printing lab. You can print, download, and share your images with friends and family! I suggest using a HIGH QUALITY lab so that it doesn’t change the color and/or the quality of the images.

6. What if my child is shy or doesn't want to cooperate?
My specialty is getting kids (and nervous adults!) to relax enough for genuine expressions in front of the camera. I build in time to ease any nervousness and uneasiness about being in front of the camera. We’ll take our time; even if we don’t have smiles, we can still get beautiful photos of you and your family. 

7. What is your rescheduling policy if it rains?
The weather can change so quickly at the beach and any seasoned photographer knows that you can typically wait until an hour before the session to make that call. But I’ve rarely had to reschedule sessions because of rain. If we absolutely have to reschedule, we’ll pick the next best day and time. If we make the best attempts to reschedule a session and the weather still doesn’t pan out, I do have a refund policy.
